Creator Privacy Policy

This Creator Privacy Policy explains how Sousy LLC ("Sousy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information related to the Sousy Creator Referral Program (the "Program"). It supplements our main Privacy Policy. If you are a creator, this notice applies to your Program data.

Information We Collect for the Program

Creator Profile Information

When you create a creator profile, we collect and store information such as your handle, display name, bio, profile photo, social links, and linked platform accounts.

Some creator profile information—such as your handle, display name, bio, profile photo, and published recipes—is public by default and visible to other users and visitors. Analytics, attribution data, and payout information are private and only visible to you and Sousy.

Linked Social Media Accounts

You may link accounts from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook to verify your creator identity and connect your content to recipes. When you link an account, we access and store:

  • TikTok: Username, display name, and profile picture
  • YouTube: Channel handle, channel name, and profile picture
  • Instagram: Username, account name, and profile picture
  • Facebook: Page name, Page ID, and Page profile picture

Browsing your videos: When you browse your content within Sousy to select a video to link to a recipe, we retrieve this list on-demand from the platform's API and do not store it.

Linking a video to a recipe: When you choose to link a specific video or post to one of your recipes, we store the following information about that content:

  • The URL of the video or post
  • Platform identifier (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook)
  • Video or post ID
  • Title or caption
  • Thumbnail image URL
  • Duration (for videos)

This information is displayed publicly alongside your recipe and may be refreshed periodically to keep thumbnails and titles current.

You can disconnect any linked account at any time from your account settings. When you disconnect, we remove the stored profile information for that platform. We do not access private messages or post content without your explicit action.

Referral and Analytics Data

We collect data about how users engage with your shared recipes and referral links, including:

  • Share links and share codes associated with your cookbook
  • Views, saves, and attribution events
  • Attributed signups and paying users
  • Bonus events and payout history

Payout and Verification Data

We use Stripe Connect to process payouts. We receive and store limited data such as your Stripe account ID, onboarding status, payouts-enabled status, and transfer IDs. We do not store your full bank account details or tax forms; Stripe handles that information directly.

Communications

If you contact support or communicate with us about the Program, we collect those messages and related metadata.

How We Use Creator Data

We use creator data to:

  • Operate and administer the Program
  • Calculate and issue referral bonuses
  • Provide analytics and performance insights
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal, tax, and financial obligations
  • Communicate with you about the Program

How We Share Creator Data

We may share creator data with:

  • Stripe, to process payouts and complete verification
  • Service providers that help us operate the Program (hosting, analytics, email)
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law
  • Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain Program data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Program. Financial, payout, and attribution records may be retained longer as required for accounting, tax, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

You can update your creator profile in the app and disconnect payouts through Stripe. You can request account deletion, but certain records (such as payout history) may be retained for compliance purposes.

Security and International Transfers

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data. If you access the Program outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
