Like opening a little digital bento box

Bento Playbox isn't a lunch planner, a recipe app, or a generic kids' game. It's a small collection of simple, touch-friendly toys: pretend cooking, grocery lists, memory cards, and coloring pages, all tucked inside one wooden bento tray.

There are no points to chase, timers to beat, or mistakes to worry about. Each toy is made for short, self-directed play that kids can start and stop whenever they're ready. One-time purchase, with free updates as new toys arrive.

What's inside the box

More than 150 food pieces across 9 categories, shared by every toy.

Cooking

Cook in a bubbling pot, a sizzling pan, or on a backyard grill. Plate your meal and tap to eat it bite by bite. Nothing is ever the wrong ingredient.

New

A friendly animal visits with a few special requests. Pack the bento box, color the food however you like, close the lid, press on a sticker, and serve it up. There's no wrong way to fill a box.

Little Market screen

Little Market

Read a tiny shopping list, find the foods on the shelves, and drop them in the cart. Lists rotate through themes like Soup Night, Picnic Basket, and Fruit Basket.

Snack Match screen

Snack Match

Flip cards and find matching foods in a simple memory game. No timer, no score — just a few difficulty options and a happy match when two cards belong together.

Coloring Book screen

Coloring Book

Color food drawings with crayons, a brush, or a paint bucket. Finished pages save automatically, and Free Draw gives kids a blank page for anything they want.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Bento Playbox collects nothing. The app has no accounts, no login, no backend servers, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

What stays on the device

Preferences, such as the sound and haptic toggles, and local app progress, such as started coloring pages, are saved to Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). That data never leaves the device and is removed when you delete the app.

What we never collect

  • Names, emails, phone numbers, or any account information
  • Photos, contacts, microphone, or camera input
  • Location data of any kind
  • Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or device fingerprints
  • Anything a child draws, drags, taps, or builds in the app

Children's privacy

Bento Playbox is designed for young children. We do not collect personal information, and there is no way for a child to share information through the app. There are no text fields, no messaging, no social features, and no external links inside the play surfaces. The small “Grown-ups” area gates the only outward links, such as this page, behind a simple parent check.

Third parties

The app does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics providers. The only network requests the app may make are those Apple performs automatically, such as app updates through the App Store.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what Bento Playbox collects, we'll update this page and bump the “last updated” date above before any change ships.
